Virginia Tupker is an interior designer catering to high-end residential and commercial projects all over the world. She is known for her passion for beautiful textiles, her sophisticated color sense and her trained editor’s eye.
Growing up in London, right off the King’s Road in the heart of Chelsea, Virginia was exposed to the pulse of both fashion and design from a young age. Her European upbringing, coupled with over a decade of experience working as a magazine editor for House & Garden, Vogue and Vogue Living, has given her a unique approach to interiors.
Whether decorating a West Village penthouse, a rural CT barn, a family home in Houston, a Southport, CT weekend escape, or a summer home on Nantucket, Virginia likes to work closely with each client to guide their innate style, achieving striking results and creating interior spaces that serve as a portrait of their inhabitants.
Virginia's first project, a brownstone in Chelsea, was published in Vogue in January 2012. She was featured in Elle Décor’s “Design’s Next Generation” issues in both 2016 and 2017 and she was also included in Elle Decor's A-List in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. Virginia was included in Architectural Digest's AD 100 List in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and most recently in 2026. Virginia's work has also been published in various books including Rattan by Lulu Lytle of Soane Britain, Blue and White Done Right: The Classic Color Combination for Every Decorating Style by Hudson Moore in partnership with F. Schumacher & Co. and Woman Made: Great Women Designers written by Jane Hall and published by Phaidon. Virginia resides in Connecticut with her family.
