Virginia Tupker is an interior designer catering to high-end residential and commercial projects all over the world. She is known for her passion for beautiful textiles, her sophisticated color sense and her trained editor’s eye.
Growing up in London, right off the King’s Road in the heart of Chelsea, Virginia was exposed to the pulse of both fashion and design from a young age. Her European upbringing, coupled with over a decade of experience working as a magazine editor for House & Garden, Vogue and Vogue Living, has given her a unique approach to interiors.
Drawing on extremely wide-ranging inspirations, from the work of the late Renzo Mongiardino, to the Bloomsbury Group, Le Corbusier or Jean Royère, Virginia crafts interiors for a wide array of venues. Whether decorating a West Village penthouse, a rural carriage house in Bedford NY, a Hamptons estate, or the office headquarters for a contemporary shoe designer, Virginia likes to work closely with each client to guide their innate style, achieving striking results and creating interior spaces that serve as a portrait of their inhabitants.
Virginia's first project, a brownstone in Chelsea, was published in Vogue in January 2012. She was a recipient of the D&D Building's 2017 Stars of Design - "Stars on the Rise" Award and was included in Elle Décor’s “Design’s Next Generation” issues in both 2016 and 2017. Virginia was included in Elle Decor's A-List in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023. She was included in Architectural Digest's AD 100 List for 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. Virginia resides in Connecticut with her family.
